2020 Beginning Beekeeping Classes

The East Jefferson Beekeepers Association (EJBees), in conjunction with the Washington State Master Beekeepers is again sponsoring a Beginning Beekeeping course starting February 22, 2020.

The classes and field days are timed to arm you with the knowledge and skills to begin raising your own bee colonies during 2020.

Yes, you can be trained and ready to order and install your first colonies of bees this spring!

The course runs February through May and includes actual hands-on fieldwork, working with the bees.

In addition, successful completion of the course earns you the official Washington State designation of Apprentice Beekeeper.

Location: Jefferson County Library (in the meeting room in the front entrance) in Hadlock.   Some sessions will have hands-on field-days, held at an EJBees club-member's apiary.
Dates: Two Saturdays a month beginning February 22, 2020.  (See below.)
Time: See below.
Cost: The course fees will be $10 in addition to the annual membership dues of $24, for a total cost of $34.  Plus there is a Master Beekeepers registration fee of about $10.00.
